In the video installation ‘Dinner on the edge’ a family dinner is removed from its normal location. The utensils are placed on a table which is on its side, suspended in the air at eye level which a young child could just see  when standing on tip-toes. One slight touch of the table would make the entire meal fall.

Avishag shows  the feeling which is created in the adult’s world above the table but chooses to  create video-art from the imagination of a young boy who is building his own world and this  is projected  under the table.

Avishag reminds us of moments in our childhood which probably affect us until today with the emotional baggage we bring with us to our festive family meals.
